I wonder what the officer's PCA said. I mean, the man/alleged perp., regardless of color/race, was on a pedestrian sidewalk; is such behavior a crime? I'm not defending either person, but I feel the confrontation was uncalled for and, at least, could have been avoided by the officer remaining calm and calling for backup. Imagine, yourself, walking down the street and having the police officer...
1st, start yelling at you.
2nd, demand you come off of the safety of sidewalk onto a busy and potentially dangerous road.
3rd, get down on that busy road - - - face down.
and 4th, worse off all, while he aggressively points his gun towards you
How would one feel?

Life isn't always fair!
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=129184907&sc=fb&cc=fp
Well that's his fault... he should have turned it off - end of story... he chose to keep it on and respond to work related incidents. On second thought, if he was told by the Dept. to keep it on at all times, then yes - they should calculate an appropriate amount of OT. However, in such economic times, those who have jobs should be grateful; in my opinion, he should suck it up and accept the responsibility of being Sergent. Yet - after filing the suit, he's probably going to retire. Lawsuits are for #$%#$% that can't accept that life isn't always fair!

Child Support
Karen, I'm not going to lie. I do work, I do make money However, its inconsistent income. So when money comes in, its a game of catchup. I do have obligations in my live; sadly, I have to prioritize them in levels of importance. Anything in S.D. is not at the top of the list. I'm sorry, I wish things were better for EVERYONE, but they are not! You should know working in a state where they have no cap on interest rates; hence, thats why all those scum-sucking credit-card companies have their Corporate offices in there. You work for one of them. Damn it - your dad is in the banking industry... you are in financing... do you not see a trend in the national economy? It seems you want to give me a hard time about the measly 50$/month. I would just wish to not be harassed with facetious-comments about how little it is. In FL, its the bare minimum and I have to pay at least that or I risk going to jail. A whole lot of good that does anyone?! So we have been through this... STOP BEING AN OVER-ZEALOUS WITCH! This is the world we live in, and for awhile, its not getting any better... so please don't add to the strife.

Dis-Immigration (May 5, 1862)
Here is my thought on Cinco de Mayo - the Mexican holiday in celebration of a war Mexico had won in 1862 against the French. I think, and not just for Mexico, that celebrating war is insane. Think about it; its like a slap in the face to the losers. C'mon - its antagonistic... Right? I think so! It's childish too; its like an annual "Haha - you lose and we won." I want something to celebrate everyday, but war is not one of them. If one cant find something to celebrate, then, simply put, celebrate that your still breathing. Regardless, I still tip my over-priced Corona (donkey piss) to them.
Don't get me wrong... war, at times, is a necessary evil to defeat a bigger evil... I guess. I still don't condone it and do not relish in celebrating it either.
This leads me into my thoughts on immigration... well, becoming a citizen by lotto, green-card, or naturalization - for me - is not enough. I want 'em to be able to speak, read, and write - English. I'm sick of pressing one for English and all these dual-signage posted through-out MY America - I hate it! I hate feeling like I should learn their language! Where are the standards? Raise the fucking bar! Don't complain to me about filling out paper-work! Sadly, that paper-work is probably in his/her native language. Fuck off!
